Topshop Cream Blush in 'Afternoon Tea' - £6 , Eye Gleam in 'Bronze' - £6, Eyeshadow Duo in 'Woodland Walk' -£6 and Lipstick in 'Petal' -£8.
I really enjoy Topshop make up. Their cream blushers, highlighters, lip products and bronzing powder are firm favourites of mine. I decided to have a little browse the other day with my friend Lucy and I discovered a few new products I couldn't resist. At least they're new to me anyway.
I already own the shades 'Flush' and 'Head over Heels' which are both gorgeous and I love the cream to powder formula. These are easy to blend, pigmented and creamy. I grabbed the shade 'Afternoon Tea' as soon as I spotted it on the shelves. It's a vivid pink in the pan which translates to a doll, feminine flush on the cheeks. I'm absolutely in love.
To add to my Topshop nudes I picked up 'Petal' a dreamy pale pink. This is so incredibly pretty on and completes my nude lip trio. 'Nevada' is a beige nude, 'Saint' is a pink toned nude and 'Petal' is a pale pink. One swipe and they leave an opaque colour, they apply smoothly and leave a semi matte finish.
The remaining two products I brought to use together. The Eye Gleam in 'Bronze' is a golden bronze, as the name would suggest. It's packed full of fine shimmer and used as a base will hopefully intensify the eyeshadow duo I picked up. The duo in question is 'Woodland Walk' which contains a really lovely golden shade and a chocolate bronze. These paired with the eye gleam will hopefully give me a seamless smokey eye on nights out.
The only downside of the Topshop range is the white matte packaging. It starts off cute and girly but after a few weeks in your make up bag ends up discoloured. If you can overlook this, then the range is affordable, great quality and offers a range of shades to suit minimalists to those more daring.
Are you getting sick of hauls yet?
This time I've been to Topshop and picked up a few products I'd been eyeing up for a while now. I never expected Topshops cosmetic line to be such good quality but I've yet to be diasappointed and they're just as good as high end brands at a lower price. The packaging is on point, the range is big enough to offer variety and some unique colour options yet not vast enough to be overwhelmed by. Prices start at £4 and go up to £18.
If you pass through a store, it's definitely worth spending a few minutes having a quick swatch.
So what did I get?
I picked up their Eye Palette in 'Game On', a metallic, cream shadow quad.
'Cresent Moon' highlighter, a champagne, shimmery powder highlight.
Lip Crayon in 'Arcade', a deep, maroon shade.
Magic Liner in 'Engraved', a basic, deep black with a thin felt tip applicator.
Lipsticks in 'Faint', a pale pink and 'Inhibition' a dark, purple shade similar to the lip crayon.
Cream Highlighter in 'Polish', a champagne, pearlescent cream highlight with slight shimmer.
Lip Pencil in 'Deception', a classic, deep red.
Peel Off Nail Varnish in 'On The Blink' a bright blue.
The only questionable product is the peel off nail varnish. Beautiful colour, bad, bad idea.
If you have Twitter or Instagram and follow other Bloggers or Beauty lovers you'll probably of noticed by now that we're never satisfied. We always want more and the majority have a 'Beauty Wishlist' full of products they'd like to purchase in the near future - so here's mine.
Stila In The Light Palette, £25 - I've seen this raved about on Kayleigh and Zoe's blog and at the moment it's on Feel Unique with free delivery and a Stila Lipgloss as a gift - tempting.
MakeUpForever Aqua Brow, £16.50 - I've only seen this blogged about once but it sounds amazing. It's a liquid 'eyebrow corrector' - essentially you take a very small amount of product on your brush and work it through your brows to create defined brows that last all day and look natural.
MakeUpForever Smokey Lash, £17.95 - Another hyped product, this is supposed to give you really defined, voluminous lashes - quite dramatic, with minimal application.
Dermalogicia Daily Microfoliant, £30.50 - I received a sample of this in a Glossy Box and fell in love. If you suffer from dry patches, flaky skin or have a combination skin type this product will work amazingly for you. Bizarrely this is a rice based powder to which you have to add water and massage in to the skin for a few minutes. I don't know all the technical/scientist explanations for how it works - but apparently the ingredients help to dissolve the old, dead skin cells to reveal smooth, soft and brightened skin. Yes please!
Ginvera BB Cream, £19 - I've been trialling out a sample of this as a sachet arrived with my recent love-makeup order. This BB cream comes from Singapore and offers the benefits of 'blemish free concealing, sun block, whitening, moisturising, reduction of lines and long lasting, ultra light feel to nourish skin'. The reason I like it? The colour is perfect for me, it offers a medium coverage with a beautiful radiant finish that doesn't leave my combination skin looking greasy.
Topshop's Lip Crayon in 'Arcade', £7 - I can actually cross this one off my list as I managed to pick it up a few days ago. I saw one of the girls at work applying this for New Years Eve and couldn't resist asking what brand it was from and the shade. Review to follow.
Philosophy Products - I've heard a lot about Philosophy recently and can't wait to get my hands on some of their products. I have their Christmas Cookie shower/bath gel which I picked up in the sale and next on my list is their The Present primer, Purity cleanser and Hope In A Jar oil free moisturiser.
Topshop Lipstick - Ohh La La, £8
When Topshop first launched their cosmetics line I wasn't overly interested, now every time I enter a Topshop I find myself drawn to their make up stands. I'm a huge fan of their Lash Catcher mascara, nail varnishes, cream blushers and lip products. The most recent addition to my Topshop collection is this gorgeous coral lipstick, in the shade 'Ohh La La'. At first glance I did find this colour slightly intimidating but applied it's a beautiful, subtle coral with hints of pink and peach - perfect for a Summer look without being too 'in your face'.
Topshop lipsticks are priced at £8, so they're around the same price as Maybelline and L'oreal's, and come in a nice selection of colours. My favourite thing about Topshop lipsticks? They're very pigmented, creamy and moisturising so application is effortless. Their lipsticks are well packaged - simplistic, but sweet with white and black stripes which makes them stand out from most brands. The downside? If you plan on carrying your lipstick loose in your bag the packaging might become discoloured.
