Tanning Routine

Step 1: Exfoliate:
I always have a good old soak in the bath before I scrub so my fake tan comes off easily. I use exfoliating gloves that you can pick up from Superdrug for £2.99 and some Imperial Leather Foam Burst Shower Gel because it lathers up, smells really good and leaves my skin really soft.

Step 2: Moisturize:
I use the Body Shop Body Butter in Almond on my ankles, feet, hands, wrists, knees and elbows because it's a really rich moisturiser and stops me from getting dark knees and elbows!

Step 3: Tan:
I use rubber gloves (pack of 5 pairs, £3.00 St.Tropez) and a tanning mit which was around £3 this combination means I get a streak free application, it's quick, easy and I don't get orange hands which is always a plus. I'm currently using St.Moriz which retails for £2.99.. you've all heard of it! It gives me a really nice dark colour, doesn't smell awful in the morning however does fade on me after 3 days so I have to reapply!

What do you guys use for your tanning routine... ???

9 beauty obsessed ladies have an opinion...:

  1. ahhh I have that tanning mitt too! is it fake bake from ebay?haha mine started coming apart so I use that or my new boots one which doesn't have a thumb :) also the rubber gloves as a tip I got mine from Poundland 100 for £1 :) sooo much cheaper for me than the st tropez ones! becky xo

  2. @beckiangel44 - 100 for a pound! I totally got ripped off lol definately going to get them from there in the future! & Yeah I think it is! Haha the thumb bit gets really annoying maybe i'll have to invest in a new one! x

  3. Great post. I love self tanners. xx

  4. i do this same routine...only I use soap&glory exfoliator. However my knees always end up orange! x

  5. I have the same routine - with the Soap & Glory Flake Away exfoliator and the Body Shop Coconut Butter :) xoxo

  6. I gave you an award at my blog:

  7. I never seem to be able to tan :( - neither fake or naturally! I think it's because my mums side of the family is from Scotland and my dad is Irish so I'm full of celtic blood and doomed to be pale forever! lol. I might give fake tan another try though :) x

  8. @Claire Elizabeth - Yeah you should try it again! I'm the only one in my family with freckles, skin white as an albino and I have never been able to tan at most I burn and then peel.. Fake tan is the way forward! lol x

  9. @Ellie - Aww thanks, I'll go have a look at your post! x
